Chris “AMK” Zambrano

“At Clipperhead, every visit supports our mission.”

Born in Oxnard, California, on November 13, 1991, I am Chris Zambrano, shaped by the values instilled by my family of five, who migrated from Mexico in pursuit of the American dream. Their sacrifices laid the foundation for my journey towards artistic expression and community leadership.

From my early days, art has been my passion. Starting with graffiti in high school under the tag “Phase 1” with the Art Maniac Krew, I fostered a love for bringing people together through creativity. This passion evolved when I began cutting hair in 2009, initially to ease my mom’s burden of monthly haircuts. Despite financial constraints, I honed my skills by offering free cuts to friends, driven by a desire to blend artistry with personal grooming.

In 2016, fueled by unwavering support from my wife Janet Lopez and facing significant challenges, I enrolled in barber college. This period tested my resolve, balancing studies, fatherhood, and grueling hours in the oil fields. Through perseverance and faith, I embraced barbering as my calling, founding Clipperhead Barbershop in 2017—a sanctuary for barbers dedicated to their craft.

Each haircut at Clipperhead is infused with passion, an opportunity to uplift and empower through personal transformation. Beyond the chair, my commitment extends to community service through our non-profit, Spread Smiles Club. This initiative champions gratitude and supports local communities with essential resources—from school supplies for children to honoring our unsung heroes.

At Clipperhead, every visit supports our mission. Join us for exceptional service and contribute to a movement that celebrates artistry, community, and positive change. Experience the difference at Clipperhead Barbershop, where every haircut is more than a style—it’s a statement of care and commitment.
